The Latest News from Maricopa High School
From the Principal January, 2016
December 21, 2015
Dear Maricopa RAM Families: First semester flew by! I’d like to thank you all for your continued support of our high school and your child(ren)’s education. It has been a busy semester. Please take a moment to look though the website to see our first semester highlights. To do this, simply click on the Principal’s Newsletter on the main page. From there, you can click on the tabs at the top of my page. As we prepare for the second semester of the 2015-2016 school year, here are a few reminders and announcements:. Report cards are being mailed out over Winter Break. If your student received an N/C (no credit) marking for a class because of excessive absences, an appeal document must be submitted. Appeal documents are located on the MHS website, the District website, and are available in the front office. Please note that documentation is required for all appeals and absences can only be appealed for the following reasons: homelessness, chronic medical conditions on file with the health office, death in the family, hospitalization, and illness. All appeals must be submitted by January 21, 2016. On January 26, 2016 Maricopa High School will be hosting Curriculum Night. This is a pre-registration event for students who will be attending MHS for the 2016-2017 school year. Parents and students will have the opportunity to visit Elective, CTE, Honors, Advanced Placement, and Dual Enrollment classes and teachers to gather information and see firsthand what students will do as part of the class. Course registration will take place shortly after, so please mark your calendars for this event. I hope that everyone has the opportunity to rest over Winter Break. I look forward to seeing your students again in January! Yours in Education, Renita Myers |
